EarToon Privacy Policy
vrocksoft ("we") operates the mobile app "EarToon" (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, who processes it and why. If this English version and the Korean version differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. Information we collect
The App has no accounts or sign-in. We do not collect your name, contact details, email or any other information that identifies you, and we do not store user information on our own servers.
2. Information kept only on your device
- Listening progress per work (episode, choices, playback position, collected endings)
- App settings (display language, number of app launches)
- The downloaded list of works and work files (audio and pictures)
This stays on your device and is never sent to us. It is removed by Settings > Reset progress in the App, or by uninstalling the App.
3. Downloading works (Cloudflare)
The App downloads the list of works and their files from Cloudflare, Inc. (R2 storage). For delivery and security, Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP address, request time and device/app information (User-Agent). We do not use these records to identify you. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App is free and shows ads (interstitial, rewarded and app open ads) through Google AdMob by Google LLC. For advertising, Google may collect and process directly from the App:
- Advertising identifier (Android advertising ID), IP address, device information (model, operating system, language) and app information
- Ad interactions such as impressions and clicks, and approximate location derived from the IP address
Google uses this to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you consent, personalize ads. In regions that require consent (such as the EEA and the UK), the App asks for consent on first launch, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices. Google's processing follows the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
To limit personalized ads, reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Settings > Google > All services > Ads (menu names vary by device).
5. Sharing and processors
We do not share your personal information with third parties or entrust its processing to anyone. Cloudflare and Google in sections 3 and 4 process information directly under their own policies, which may involve servers outside Korea (such as in the United States).
6. Retention
We keep no personal information about you. Information on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the App. Retention by Google and Cloudflare follows their policies.
7. Your rights
You can delete the information on your device at any time, change your ad privacy choices, and reset your advertising ID. Send privacy questions or requests to the contact below.
8. Children
The App is horror and thriller content rated 15+ and is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
9. Security
Traffic between the App and the servers is encrypted with HTTPS, and downloaded files are checked against their hashes before use.
